Day 14: Walpole Mountain
Driving through Walpole on the way home from work, I made a wrong turn to avoid traffic and ended up in a quarry field. It was late in the afternoon so no one was around. Rather than turning the car around, I decided to look around. There were huge mountains of aggregates of different color and size. The scenery reminded me of a desert, maybe somewhere in Death Valley. Ok, that’s a stretch but it looked interesting. I thought this photo was a good study of contrasting textures. I kept it in monochrome to bring the attention to the three different textures: the sky, the “mountain” and the aggregates.
